The two bucket method wash, one cap full of Swissvax Car Bath with a nice Swissvax Wasch Pudel. Then this was thoroughly rinsed off. I started the claying with Swissvax Paint Rubber to remove any finer, stubborn contaminants. When finished, the paint was much smoother and ready for correction. After another rinse, I dried the car gently with the Gtechniq MF4 Diamond Sandwich Microfibre Drying Towel and then allowed it to air dry for a little while with the doors open so that excess water could run out from it’s crevices.
Time to start the correction work, without the preparation work the paint will simply not shine or feel as it should do. I did not need to be super aggressive and I most definitely wanted to avoid putting more hologrammes into the paint, so I carried out the correction with Rupes Fine Compound(Yes the paint is that soft!) it’s a product I’ve used for many years and the results are reliable, teaming this with the 3M polishing pad would give the right amount of cut and gloss for the results I was aiming for.
And here are the action shots, colour co-ordinating your t-shirt, socks and shoes is very important when polishing :P !
You can see the contortionist positions i had to achieve due to the Mac's angular shaped panels
